A great wheel of a mandala, block printed in soft charcoal-black on undyed cream cotton. Ring after ring unfolds from a small lotus rosette at the centre – a circle of walking elephants, a band of daisies, a curling paisley vine – while the field beyond is filled edge to edge with a tiny geometric stamp that reads almost like woven cloth from across the room.

It is printed by hand in India using carved wooden blocks, one press at a time. The faint shifts where one repeat meets the next are exactly what tells you a person made it.
